A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §17-4-17e, relating to installation of conduit for fiber optic cable on state highway construction projects.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §17-4-17e, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 4. STATE ROAD SYSTEM.
§17-4-17e. Installation of conduit for fiber optic cable on state highway construction projects.
The Commissioner of Highways shall cause to have conduit for fiber optic cable included in all construction projects for new highways constructed within the state.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to require the installation of conduit for fiber optic cable on state highway construction projects.
