A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §11-2-12, relating to granting licensed real estate appraisers access to commercial or residential review documents.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §11-2-12, to read as follows:
ARTICLE 2.ASSESSORS.
§11-2-12. Access to commercial or residential review documents.
A county assessor shall provide a person, who is a licenced real estate appraiser under article thirty-eight, chapter thirty of this code, copies of commercial or residential review documents on the assessor's computerized assessment system for a fee of $3 per form. These forms shall be obtained for the sole purpose of determining comparable market value of a property. Also, the assessor shall redact from the copies, information pertaining to security systems, home safes and other information that may jeopardize the security of the property or any possessions therein.
NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to grant licensed real estate appraisers access to commercial or residential review documents.
§11-2-12 is new; therefore, it has been completely underscored.
