A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding thereto a new section, designated §20-2-20a, relating to trapping coyote; and checking traps once every seventy- two hours.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

            That the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended by adding thereto a new section, designated §20-2-20a, to read as follows:

ARTICLE 2. WILDLIFE RESOURCES.

§20-2-20a. Trapping coyote.

            Notwithstanding any other provision of this code or rule to the contrary, a person trapping coyote is not required to check the traps more than once every seventy-two hours.

 

 


            NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to provide that persons trapping coyote need only check traps once every seventy- two hours.


            This section is new; therefore it is completely underscored.
