HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 30

(By Delegates Marcum, Andes, Butcher, Ferns, Ferro, Hall, Moore, Pasdon, Pethtel, L. Phillips, R. Phillips, Reynolds, Rodighiero, Skaff, Storch, Stowers, Varner and White)

 

 

 

Recognizing the continued occurrences of domestic violence in West Virginia by the House of Delegates in an effort to remain ever aware of its effects, to continue to support and promote actions to ameliorate it, to maintain its occurrence in the public eye and to continue our support of its victims.

    Whereas, Domestic violence continues to plague West Virginia even while laws are in effect to prevent it; and

    Whereas, Domestic violence is abuse that has the effect of dividing homes; and

    Whereas, Domestic violence is present in all fifty-five counties in West Virginia; and

    Whereas, Domestic violence has the potential to cause future problems to the unfortunate victims and their families; and

    Whereas, Many women and men are affected by domestic violence each year; therefore, be it

    Resolved by the House of Delegates:

    That the House of Delegates recognizes the harmful effect of domestic violence; and, be it

    Further Resolved, That the House of Delegates of West Virginia urges everyone to be on the look out for victims of domestic violence; and, be it

    Further Resolved, That the West Virginia House of Delegates continually support victims of domestic violence.
