A BILL to amend and reenact §64-9-1 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to authorizing the Secretary of State to promulgate a legislative rule relating to voter registration list maintenance by the Secretary of State.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:


That §64-9-1 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, be amended and reenacted to read as follows:

ARTICLE 9. Authorization for miscellaneous agencies and boards to promulgate legislative rules.

§64-9-1. Secretary of State.


The legislative rule filed in the State Register on August 24, 2016, authorized under the authority of section twenty-three-a, article two, chapter three of this code, modified by the Secretary of State to meet the objections of the Legislative Rule-making Review Committee and refiled in the State Register on January 17, 2017, relating to the Secretary of State (Voter Registration List Maintenance by the Secretary of State, 153 CSR 05), is authorized.

 

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to authorize the Secretary of State to promulgate a legislative rule relating to Voter Registration List Maintenance by the Secretary of State.
