A BILL to repeal §61-2-15a of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to special penalties for assault and battery on an athletic official.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:

§61-2-15a of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, is hereby repealed.

NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to remove an antiquated section of the criminal code that provides for a lower penalty for assault or battery on an athletic official than for assault or battery on a member of the general public.
