SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 32
(By Senators Unger, McCabe, Plymale, Wells, Stollings, Kessler,
Oliverio and Foster)
Recognizing the West Virginia Higher Education Advisory Council of
Faculty for its commitment to education.
Whereas, The Higher Education Advisory Council of Faculty was
created under WV code §18B-6-2, to serve as a resource to the
legislature and advise the legislature on higher education issues;
and
Whereas, The Higher Education Advisory Council of Faculty
advises the HEPC and CTCC higher education councils; and
Whereas, The Higher Education Advisory Council of Faculty
reports to and advises local boards of governors and faculty
colleagues on issues pertaining to higher education; and
Whereas, The Higher Education Advisory Council of Faculty
provide a voice for more than 4,664 part-time and 4,161 full-time
Higher Education faculty; and
Whereas, The Higher Education Advisory Council of Faculty
works diligently for the well-being of our citizens and for the
economic health of the State of West Virginia through quality
education; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby recognizes the West Virginia Higher Education Advisory Council of Faculty for its commitment to
education; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward
a copy of this resolution to West Virginia Higher Education
Advisory Council of Faculty.
