H. C. R. 14--"Renaming the New Martinsville Bridge that crosses the Ohio River at New Martinsville, West Virginia, the 'Korean War Veterans' Memorial Bridge'."
Whereas , There is no memorial to veterans of the Korean War in Wetzel County; and
Whereas , The people of Wetzel County would like to have a memorial to remember and honor those veterans who took part in the Korean War; and
Whereas , Such a visible memorial would not only pay homage to Korean War veterans in Wetzel County and West Virginia but to Korean War veterans throughout the country; and
Whereas , This memorial would show Wetzel County's and West Virginia's appreciation to all veterans of the Korean War and the sacrifice that they put forth for their country; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Legislature of West Virginia:
That the New Martinsville Bridge that crosses the Ohio River at New Martinsville is hereby named the "Korean War Veterans' Memorial Bridge"; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates forward a copy of this resolution to the Governor.
