The Committee on Economic Development and Tourism moved to amend the Senate Committee Substitute for SB160 on page 4, section §5B-1A-5, line 12, following the period after the word “article”, by inserting thereafter the following text:

“Nothing in this article shall be interpreted to prohibit the Division of Natural Resources from acquiring and owning any property rights, including inactive railroad rights-of-way, for use as or in connection with a trail.”
