The Committee on Economic Development and Tourism moved to amend the bill on page 1, section §11-13NN-1, line 8, after the word “means” by striking the words “electric vehicle or electric vehicles” and inserting in lieu thereof, the following text:

“a vehicle that can be powered by an electric motor that draws electricity from a battery and is capable of being charged from an external source. An EV includes both a vehicle that can only be powered by an electric motor that draws electricity from a battery (all-electric vehicle) and a vehicle that can be powered by an electric motor that draws electricity from a battery and by an internal combustion engine (hybrid electric vehicles or plug-in hybrid electric vehicle)”.
