Delegate Barnhart moved to amend the committee substitute on page 1, section 1, line 8, by inserting a new subsection “(3) “Credit reporting agency” shall have the meaning assigned in 15 U. S. Code §1681a”.

And

On page 1, section 1, line 8, by striking “3” and inserting in lieu thereof “4”.

And

On page 2, section 1, line 16, by inserting after the word “information” the following: “by the credit reporting agency”.

And

On page 2, section 1, line 22, by striking the words “The consumer shall be given” and inserting in lieu thereof the words “The credit reporting agency shall provide the consumer with”

And

On page 2, section 1, line 23, by inserting a new subsection “(e) Financial institutions, creditors, mortgage lenders, or mortgage brokers shall not be subject to any action authorized by this article for sharing consumer information with a credit reporting agency”.

And

On page 2, section 2, line 3, by striking the words “any person” and inserting in lieu thereof the words “credit reporting agency”.

 And

On page 2, section 2, line 5, by striking the words “any person” and inserting in lieu thereof the words “credit reporting agency”.
