Delegate Lewis moves to amend Com Sub for HB2030, on page 1, article 28 heading, after the word “HOMELESS” by inserting a comma and the words “UNHOUSED OR UNSHELTERED”.
On page 1, article 28, the section heading of section 1 (7-28-1), after the word “homeless” by inserting a comma and the words “unhoused or unsheltered”.
On page 1, section 1, line 2, following the word “homeless” by inserting a comma and the words “unhoused or unsheltered”.
On page 1, section 1, lines 5 through 7, by striking out definition (1) in its entirety and inserting in lieu thereof the following:
(1) "Homeless " means an individual or family that lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence or has a primary nighttime residence in a shelter, on the street, in a park, in a vehicle, or in an enclosure that is not authorized for human habitation.
On page 1, section 1, line 9, following the period, by inserting new definitions to read as follows:
“(3) “Unhoused” means an individual or family that stays in another’s home and does not have a designated location to reside.
(4) “Unsheltered” means an individual or family that has lost housing due to a natural disaster or fire, was required to vacate their residence due to eviction, or removed by an order of the local health department or other governmental agency due to health or safety concerns.’”.
