A BILL to amend the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, by adding a new section, designated §9-3-7, relating to exempting cash value or death benefit of a life insurance policy from Medicaid eligibility calculations.
Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
The first $25,000 of the cash value of a life insurance policy or of the death benefit of a life insurance policy shall be exempt from Medicaid eligibility calculations.
