Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
It is difficult to determine if this legislation would have a negative or positive fiscal impact for the agency. In an investigative request to the Board of Risk and Insurance Management (BRIM), we received a similar response. However, BRIM did state that any premium savings would not be realized unless the DNR Parks and Recreation Section experiences fewer claims over time. This legislation may lead to fewer claims; however, the legislation itself would not provide any direct impact on our insurance premiums.
We do see the passage of the proposed bill as having a positive outcome for the agency.
