Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to provide authority for issuance of a special license plate saying “Don’t tread on me.”
This bill includes a one time fee of $10 in addition to the standard registration fee. The $10 fee is to be deposited into the Road Fund.
Initial expenses will consist of mainframe and cash register programming of $6,597. The average cost of the registration plate is $6.80.
