Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to remove all fees for the initial issuance or renewal of a Silver Star registration plate.
This bill eliminates a one time fee of $10 and an annual fee of $50. There are 52 Silver Star plates currently in existence. This Division estimates that this number will remain consistent with one new plate sold each year and one plate not renewing each year. Therefore, the Division estimates that revenue will decrease by $2,610 (($10 x 1 new plate per year)+($50 x 52)).
Initial expenses will consist of programming for the cash register. It is estimated that will take 10 hours of programming at a rate of $115 dollars per hour for a total of $1,150.
