Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to authorize the issuance of a special registration plate for recipients of the federal Presidential Service Badge.
This establishes a one time fee of $10 and an annual fee of $15.
Initial expenses will consist of mainframe and cash register programming costs of $6,597. The average costs of the registration plate $6.80.
The above amount is based upon 1 registration plate being sold in the first year of implementation and being renewed each year thereafter. The Division has no way of estimating how many of these registration plates would be required.
