Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to provide for a special license plate for any person with a family member driver diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
This bill includes a one time fee of $10, and an annual fee of $15, in addition to the standard registration fee. Based on one plate being sold in FY 2020 and renewed in subsequent years, the bill would produce revenue of $25 the first year, and $15 each year thereafter.
Initial expenses will consist of mainframe and cash register programming of $6,597. The average cost of the registration plate is $6.80
