Fiscal Note Summary

Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.

Summarize in a clear and concise manner what impact this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government. Draft House Bill 3024 as proposed will increase substantive case work as well as travel for evidentiary and public comment hearings. Currently, the Public Service Commission is somewhat short-handed. It is difficult to anticipate the total impact of HB3024 but additional manpower stress may necessitate the hiring of a new analyst, engineer and attorney. HB3024 will not increase the Public Service Commission's appropriation request but will require the agency to activate current inactive positions.
