Fiscal Note Summary

Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.

Summarize in a clear and concise manner what impact this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government. S.B. 677 is generally a bill to clean up outdated and obsolete language in Chapter 22A of the Code. The only substantive amendment is to allow the Director to remove an inspector without requiring a hearing before the Board of Coal Mine Health and Safety. A removed inspector can still request a hearing if he/she disputes the removal, but the hearing is no longer mandatory.
