Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
This bill would not increase or decrease revenues to the DCR, however it would clarify that the portion of court fees that were submitted to the DCR in order to pay the Regional Jail Construction Bonds would continue but be redirected for the specific purpose of paying for capital improvements and maintenance costs. This is essential as there is currently no dedicated funding source for these concerns.
