As currently drafted, House Bill 4406 will have minimal impact on the costs and revenues of the Department of Veterans Assistance. In order to develop the program, and organize the committee, the Department would require funding for committee travel and promotional costs associated with the program, as well as the tangible recognition costs. A nominal processing fee will help to defray the costs, however we do not anticipate that fee being significant enough to cover the costs of the program entirely.

Please explain increases and decreases in personal services, current expenses, repairs and alterations, assets, other costs and revenues, including assumptions and data sources and delineation between start-up and ongoing costs. No additional personal services expenses are expected for this program. The current expense estimate would include promotional material, travel costs for the annual meeting of Committee members, as well as tangible recognition for the Military Hall of Fame inductees.
