Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
This bill would increase an existing expense relative to the Attorney General's General Fund. Based on the current annual salary of members of Congress, the bill would increase the salary of each constitutional officer other than the Governor to $147,900 per year. This is an increased expense of $52,900 per constitutional officer other than the Governor. The numbers provided to project the increased expense going forward are based on current salary level of members of Congress; any future change to Congressional salaries would increase this amount as per the terms of the bill.
