Memorandum


House Bill 2797, if enacted, would expand W. Va. Code ยง23-4-1f relating to who may diagnose post-traumatic stress disorder as a compensable injury or disease under workers' compensation. HB2797 proposes that certified mental health nurse practitioners may diagnose post-traumatic stress disorder in first responders. This bill will have no fiscal impact on the OIC.
