Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
This bill requires every county public school system to conduct an annual countywide survey of public school students to determine their non-school eating patterns and the availability of nutritious food to them when schools are closed. In its current form, this proposed legislation would have minimal impact on the West Virginia Department of Education or the West Virginia Board of Education because any additional duties implementing this legislation can be performed by current staff.
