Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
This should have a positive impact on revenues created from an increase receipt from the insurance surcharge. It should not increase cost based on determination of qualification coming from similar statistics that are already provided partially based on the existing Firefighter Tax Credit program.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
There should not be any likely increases in personal services or current expensess but it would provide increase revenue from the increase in the surcharge dollars received for use in the new recruitment and retention program. State Treasurers Office would have determine the long range revenue received since they would have knowledge of the current formula and revenue received.
