Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
This proposed legislation allows a county board of education participating in a multicounty vocational center to determine that a career technical education program be part of the local high school and allows the program to be a state-approved program of study or a locally created program of study.
Pursuant to WVBE Policy 3232, this practice is already allowed with the approval of the governing board of the technical center; therefore, in its current form, this legislation does not have any fiscal impact on the West Virginia Board of Education or the West Virginia Department of Education.
