Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The bill requires the State Treasurer's Office to accept applications from Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGO's) that are seeking to participate in the newly enacted federal tax credit. The State Treasurer's Office estimates it would require approximately 280 hours of software development and design split between two existing IT staff members to develop and implement a portal that is integrated into the Treasury's website for SGO's to submit applications and other required documentation.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
It is difficult to estimate whether the increased workload would warrant an additional FTE at this time due to uncertainty in application volume.
