Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to change the placement of the registration renewal stickers from the license plate to the back glass of the vehicle so that they are harder to steal.
Current costs for decal stickers are $210,000(1,400,000 stickers X .15 cents) per year. We estimate that the costs to change the decal sticker will increase to $1,400,000(1,400,000 stickers X 1 dollar)due to additional equipment required and increased decal cost.
