Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):


Although the Division does already maintain some of the required documentation, the Division would have additional administrative costs in the assessment of costs and equipment in preparing the annual plan. Those administrative costs would revolve around the implementation of the report with each district estimating an administrative cost of $50,000 per DOH District to implement the highway paving plan, including showing the most recent time each section of road was paved and what treatment occurred. 10 DOH Districts x $50K = $500,000 Furthermore, the Division’s administrative costs would include looking at each section of normally asphalt-surfaced road and knowing what the next treatment is, when it is needed, what it would cost, and an expiration date for the particular treatment.
