Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
This bill proposes to allow an additional option for paying vendors for contracts using the stable token method of payment. This could expand the state’s vendor pool since more options for payment could mean more vendors bidding, as long as it remains optional and voluntary. Adversely, if the bill were to mandate acceptance of this form of payment by all vendors, it would have the opposite effect if the low bidder fails to accept the stable token as payment.
