Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
The bill creates a tool for banks to assist eligible adults that may be faced with financial exploitation, as that term is defined in the bill. The bill does not create any responsibility for the Division of Financial Institutions in this bill beyond its given mandate. However, the bill does identify the Department of Human Servies Bureau of Social Services and the Attorney General as designated agencies for reporting purposes.
