Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to streamline the process of personal property tax assessment by requiring the Division of Motor Vehicles to supply personal property records of all motor vehicles owned to the Tax Assessor.
The Division already provides county assessors with personal property records as of July 1 annually. The Division does not expect any financial impact from this legislation.
