Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to authorize the Division of Motor Vehicles to issue special motor vehicle plates for municipal fire department vehicles.
This bill would require 26 hours of programming at $125 an hour to program the Division’s cash register system to accept payments for these plates. For a total programming cost of $3,250.
The Division already produces plates for municipal vehicles, so that infrastructure is already in place.
