Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The stated purpose of this bill is to provide a funding stream from property taxes collected as a result of new high voltage electric transmission projects being constructed to lower electric rates to benefit West Virginians.
The bill makes changes to the funding distribution of tax revenue collected from new high voltage electric transmission. There would be no change in the Property Tax revenue collected.
Additional administrative costs would be minimal.
