This bill increases salaries for sworn members of the West Virginia State Police and for Forensic Laboratory civilian employees whose compensation is set by statute. Civilian employees whose salaries are not statutorily established are excluded from this estimate. The projected fiscal impact for FY2027 is $1,609,636.

Calculations are based on current and projected FY2027 staffing levels, totaling 684 employees across all funds, and include associated agency benefit costs.
The estimated funding sources are as follows:
