Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
There is an appropriation from the general revenue fund be-ginning July 1, 2026, and again thereafter on July 1, 2027, from the General Revenue Fund for the annual sum of $175,000 to the West Virginia Office of Entrepreneurship Fund. That Fund is a special revenue account created by the State Treasury and administered by the Secretary of State. The appropriation will cover two positions to manage the office as well as benefits and administrative costs to run the Office.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
Please see above. Some of the functions and infrastructure of the proposed Office are al-ready handled through the West Virginia Secretary of State. The appropriation will al-low the Secretary of State to hire two persons to manage the new Office and to provide for expenses outside of our current infrastructure.
