Fiscal Note Summary

Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.

The purpose of this bill is to establish Raylee's law which temporarily prohibits authorization of home instruction education placement if there is a pending child abuse or neglect investigation against a custodial parent of guardian. The Department anticipates no fiscal impact should this legislation pass as legislation does not require additional services beyond the already established practice of assessing abuse and neglect.
