Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.


The State Budget Office estimates that HB 5571, which proposes an increase in pay of $2,000 over the next three years for applicable full-time equivalent employees who are non-uniformed administrative staff, would result in an additional total cost of $9,182,688 for all funding sources. This would be a base-building salary increase, so the impact would be permanent.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):


HB 5571 proposes $2,000 increase for applicable full-time equivalent employees who are non-uniformed administrative staff. Employee benefits are calculated at 16.65%. At full implementation, General Revenue is $8,839,737, including $2,526,000 per year for personal services and $420,579 per year for employee benefits. At full implementation, Appropriated Special Revenue is $104,985, including $30,000 for personal services and $4,995 per year for employee benefits. At full implementation, Special Revenue is $237,966, including $68,000 per year for personal services per year and $11,322 per year for employee benefits.
