Memorandum
Senate Bill 1006, if enacted, would provide equal shares of the 1% Additional Premium Tax funds collected to the fire companies and departments.
SB1006 would have no fiscal impact on the WV Offices of the Insurance Commissioner.
The OIC estimates the total collections would be $34,551,164, which would be distributed to the fire companies and departments by the State Treasurer.
