Fiscal Note Summary

Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.

This bill would likely require additional General Revenue as it would increase our expenses in personnel who are currently paid with appropriations to General Revenue, Special Revenue, and Federal Funds. Because there is no anticipated increase in Special Revenue collections or Federal Funds, the increase associated with this raise would be borne by the Office's General Revenue appropriations. This raise would increase personal services currently funded by General Revenue by $431,200; personal services funded by Special Revenue by $ 28,000; and personal services funded by Federal Funding by $ 39,200

Memorandum

Currently anticipated General Revenue appropriations for Personal Services may be sufficient to cover additional costs for current employees funded through appropriations from General Revenue, Special Revenue, and Federal sources. However, any reduction in Special Revenue collections or cuts to Federal appropriations would result in potential shortfalls.
