Fiscal Note Summary

Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.

The purpose of this bill is to provide parity in reimbursement for mental health care practitioners with a licensed physician performing such care. This would have no fiscal impact on PEIA. PEIA’s reimbursement is by service performed, not provider type. If the practitioner is permitted to perform the service billed, they will receive the allowance for that service and diagnosis code regardless of provider type.
