This proposed legislation requires screenings for adverse purpose of this bill is to require screenings for adverse childhood experiences. In its current form, this legislation does not have any fiscal impact on the West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) or the West Virginia Board of Education (WVBE), but may have an indeterminable fiscal impact on the various county boards of education relating to staffing, training (if after school hours are required), time spent administering screenings, documentation, reporting, and any technology or materials necessary to meet the requirements of this proposed legislation.
