Fiscal Note Summary
Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to require the Public Employees Insurance Agency and other health insurance providers provide mental health parity between behavioral health, mental health, substance use disorders, and medical and surgical procedures. PEIA doesn’t anticipate any fiscal impact from this bill as the material portions of this bill were previously passed as SB 291 in the 2020 Regular Legislative Session. Therefore, the substantive provisions of this bill which could have a material fiscal impact are already in effect for PEIA.
