The purpose of this proposed piece of legislation is to include the compensation paid to State Police personnel by virtue of contracts in any formulation used to calculate an employee’s benefits. Specifically, the benefit which would cause fiscal impact is retirement. We are unable to provide a fiscal note since the Consolidated Public Retirement Board determines the rate of contribution for our agency and administers the benefits for the West Virginia State Police Retirement Systems. The fiscal note should be completed by them.
