Senate Bill 535, if enacted, would remove the expiration date of July 1, 2023 for the rebuttable presumption for leukemia, lymphoma or multiple myeloma arising from employment as a firefighter. Senate Bill 535 will have no fiscal impact on the revenues, expenses or operations of the Offices of the Insurance Commissioner.

Memorandum


Senate Bill 535, if enacted, would remove the expiration date of July 1, 2023 for the rebuttable presumption for leukemia, lymphoma or multiple myeloma arising from employment as a firefighter. SB 535 will have no fiscal impact on the Offices of the Insurance Commissioner. SB 535 may have a future impact on the worker's compensation rates of entities that employ firefighters.
