Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.


The purpose of this bill is to require Medicaid and insurance coverage for treatment of pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with streptococcal infections and pediatric acute onset neuropsychiatric syndrome and other autoimmune encephalopathies. The Department anticipates no fiscal impact from this legislation as the Department's Medicaid and WVCHIP programs currently cover treatment for these conditions.
