Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
This bill will increase the amount of of compensation to each member of the commission by $500 each year for attending commission meetings.
It will also create a new expense of $150 for each event that a commissioner performs work at an event with a collective total of $3,000 per year.

Explanation of above estimates (including long-range effect):
The increase to personal services is a result of the proposed $500 increase the total compensation (from $1500 to $2000) for each commissioner that attends a meeting of the commission, which results in an increase of $2,500 each year, and the proposed new expense of $150 to each commissioner who performs work at each even up to a collective total of $3,000.
The two proposed changes would result in a total increase of $5,500 each year.
