Effect this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government.
The purpose of this bill is to establish an office within the Office of the Governor to coordinate workforce development, job training, education, and related programs and initiatives across agencies and entities to continue to grow West Virginia’s workforce and to provide greater options for West Virginians seeking work and West Virginia businesses seeking employees.
The West Virginia Workforce Resiliency Office being set up as a new appropriation under fund 0101 will increase the General Revenue Fund.

Implementation of this bill will cause an increase in general revenue expenditures for the cost of establishing this office with a Director and Coordinator position and equipment necessary to set up office.
