Summarize in a clear and concise manner what impact this measure will have on costs and revenues of state government. There is no fiscal impact to the proposed legislation as any costs will be absorbed within existing budgets. The purpose of this bill is to establish an office within the Office of the Governor to provide daily focus at the highest level on coordinating workforce development, job training, education, and related programs and initiatives across agencies and entities to continue to grow West Virginia's workforce and to provide greater options for West Virginians seeking work and West Virginia businesses seeking employees. It is the intent of this legislation that the Workforce Resiliency Office will utilize existing resources of various state agencies engaged in workforce development, job training, education, and related programs and initiatives, and any costs will therefore be absorbed within existing budgets.
